The AMS mild steel corrosion coupon is a pre-weighed metal test strip used to measure corrosion rates in cooling towers, chilled water loops and closed systems. Mild steel is the most common coupon in a corrosion monitoring program because it shows how well your treatment is protecting steel piping and equipment.
